One of my favourite snacks is frozen berries drizzled with honey – so sweet, fruity, and refreshing, especially in the summer time. This smoothie bowl is a blended, creamy version of that.
All you need is a handful of healthy, wholesome, and tasty ingredients. Blend it up in minutes, grab your spoon, and enjoy!
How to Make a Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl
Step 1: Gather ingredients
Mixed berries – Any mix of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc. You’ll need frozen berries for this smoothie bowl.
Milk – Since this is a smoothie bowl, you don’t need too much liquid. Start with 1/4 – 1/2 cup of milk and add more as needed to help your blender along.
Yogurt – Greek yogurt is best because of its thickness and creaminess. It helps make the mixture more blendable while still keeping it nice and thick and creamy.
Honey – For some natural sweetness.
Vanilla extract – Definitely optional, but I find a splash of vanilla extract helps enhance the creaminess and dessert-like feel of the blend.
Toppings:
- Berries
- Chopped almonds
- Drizzle of honey
- Squeeze of lemon juice
These are the toppings I like, but of course you can add any and all other toppings of your choosing. These can include: chia seeds, almond butter, other fresh fruits, granola, chocolate chips, etc.
Step 2: Blend!
Add all ingredients to your blender and blend on high for about 60 seconds until thoroughly smooth. To help your blender, stop to scrape down the sides or use a tamper as needed, or add a bit more liquid.
Scoop your thick and creamy smoothie into a bowl, top with toppings, and enjoy!
